CHAS Dental Subsidy

Eligible patients can use CHAS dental subsidies for selected dental treatments at participating CHAS dental clinics. The subsidy amount depends on card type, treatment type, claim limits and clinical assessment.

What Is CHAS?

CHAS stands for Community Health Assist Scheme. It provides healthcare and dental subsidies for eligible Singapore Citizens at participating clinics. Pioneer Generation and Merdeka Generation cardholders may receive additional subsidies.

How CHAS Dental Subsidy Works

1. Check Card
Check that you have a valid CHAS, Merdeka Generation or Pioneer Generation card.
2. Book Appointment
Book an appointment with Best Smile Dental.
3. Inform Clinic
Inform the clinic that you would like to use CHAS dental subsidy.
4. Present Cards
Present your NRIC and valid card during your visit.
5. Assessment

The dentist assesses your dental condition and confirms whether treatment is eligible.

6. Deduction
If eligible, the subsidy is deducted from the bill.
7. Pay Balance
Patient pays the remaining balance after subsidy deduction.

What Should I Bring for CHAS Dental Subsidy?

Original NRIC

Necessary for identification and CPF account verification.

Valid CHAS / MG / PG or Digital card

Your physical healthcare card or the digital version in Singpass to check your subsidy tier and remaining annual dental limits.

Past Dental Records or Referral Letters

Any relevant dental records or referral letter if available

Can I Use CHAS Together with MediSave?

CHAS and MediSave are separate schemes. Whether they can be used for the same treatment episode depends on the treatment type, claim rules and clinical eligibility. The clinic can advise after assessment.
